Driving at twice the legal limit unfortunately means that you are 30 times more likely to be the cause of a road accident. Than the driver that hasn’t been drinking. Whatever the amount of alcohol you consume it can affect your capability to drive properly.

There is no fail-safe of knowing what amount to drink and staying under the limit

Every person has a different tolerance level to alcohol which can depend on a number of different factors which include:

Age

Weight

Gender

Their metabolism

What they have eaten recently

Their current levels of stress

Amount of alcohol consumed

Advice is always take the safer option and don’t drink if you are or intending to drive. Don’t offer to buy an alcoholic drink to someone who maybe intending to drive.

Do you know the severe consequences of what can happen if you get a drink-driving conviction? It could devastate your life, by losing your job, relationship or even worse going to prison. If you in doubt ‘leave out that second pint’ when you thinking about having another drink or not.
